BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department is investigating its third homicide of 2021.
On Sunday, Jan. 3, around 8:45 p.m., multiple callers reported hearing gunshots in an area in the city’s west precinct. Officers arrived on the scene of an apartment complex at 2108 Warrior Road and found a victim unresponsive in the parking lot.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue responded and pronounced the victim dead.
Jefferson County Coroner Bill Yates identified the victim as 52-year-old Brian Keith Fleming, of Birmingham.
