TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Police Department released a surveillance video showing a burglary that happened overnight at the Raceway gas station on Gadsden Highway.
Around 4 a.m., police said the suspect threw a rock through a glass door and gained entry to the business. The glass breaking set off an alarm so the crook was only in the store for about three minutes. After grabbing 82 cartons of cigarettes, Police Chief Eric Rush said the burglar left in a small blue Nissan car with no license plate.
“He was last seen getting on Interstate 459 North,” said Rush.
