AUBURN — The Auburn Police Department is investigating after a 20-year-old man died after falling from a sixth-floor balcony on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021.
Police do not suspect foul play. They said they were called to the scene in the 200 block of North Gay Street, around 3:55 p.m. and found the victim on the sidewalk. He was taken to East Alabama Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The man has not been identified but his body will be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Montgomery for an autopsy. The Auburn Police Division is being assisted in the investigation by the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences, the State Medical Examiner’s Office and the Lee County Coroner’s Office.
