GRAYSON VALLEY — A new J Wings location is coming soon to Grayson Valley. The eatery will be located inside the Marathon gas station at the corner of Chalkville Mountain Road and Wright Street.
Jay and Adrian Williams have several locations across the Birmingham metro, including in The Pizitz Food Hall, in the Birmingham Crossplex, in Bessemer and in Fultondale.
Adrian Williams is opening the new east Jefferson County location after several customers suggested an addition.
“We have most of our locations on the west side of Birmingham,” said Adrian Williams. “We didn’t have anything in the east area. We had a lot of people request for the Trussville area because a lot of our clientele travels from the Old Springville area to come to our Fultondale location.”
Adrian Williams said the business is special because it all started 10 years ago in Jay’s kitchen.
“Jay started this business on his own 10-years ago and he just turned 33,” said Williams. “From an entrepreneurial standpoint, he found his way to make it what it is. We hope to be able to put them everywhere. We care about our product.”
Jay Wings serves fresh, never frozen chicken and they offer 25 mixable flavors. Plus, there is more than wings to choose from. Some of the most popular menu items include fried catfish, fried green tomatoes and Philly cheesesteak sandwiches.
The Williams’ hope to open in about a month but an exact opening date has not been determined.
The eatery will open daily at 11 a.m. and will close at 10 p.m. on weekdays and 11 p.m. on weekends.
