KILLEN — Special agents are investigating an alleged incident of sexual misconduct between a teacher and student at Brooks High School.
According to multiple reports, Lauderdale County Schools Superintendent Jerry Hill has placed seventh-grade math teacher Ashton McCluskey on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s State Bureau of Investigation (SBI).
ALEA says the investigation was turned over to the SBI on Dec. 17, 2020 at the request of the Lauderdale County Sheriff.
Nothing further is available as the investigation is ongoing. Once complete, authorities say the findings will be turned over to the Lauderdale County District Attorney’s Office.
