James Robert Mundy, Jr., of Trussville, passed away on Jan. 14, 2021.
He was a State Farm Agent and a member of First Baptist Church of Center Point. He was a graduate of Woodlawn High School 1962 and Livingston State University 1966, where he played college football and was a member of TKE Fraternity.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Robert Mundy, Sr. and Clara Phillips Mundy; his grandparents, John E. Mundy and Edna Manderson Mundy and John Phillips and Ida Bell Phillips.
He is survived by his sons, James “Bo” Robert Mundy, III and Christopher Michael Mundy (Amanda); his sister, Orlean Mundy Bruce; his fiancé, Sue Pate; his grandchildren, Katherine “Katie” Ann Mundy, Jack Stryker Mundy, Summer Laurel Mundy; nieces and nephews, John Bruce, Kelli F. Coleman, Shannon Bruce, and Jimmy L. Frizzell.
A visitation will be held from 12-2pm on Friday, Jan. 29 at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville. A Memorial Service will begin at 2pm, with John Mundy officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice.
