Robert Mash Talmadge, 91, of Birmingham, Alabama went to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 22, 2021.
He was born in Birmingham, AL, on Feb. 15, 1929, to the late John and Winnie Talmadge. Robert was a graduate of Ensley High School. He married Shirley Vivian Keen on Dec. 25, 1953.
Robert was an Army veteran from the Korean Conflict and has resided at the Col Robert L. Howard Veterans Home in Pell City AL since August 2014. He loved to garden, tinker on cars and to be with his family.
He was a longtime member of Brewster Road Alliance Church. Robert is survived by his four children; Brenda Phillips (Mark) of Clay, AL, Bobby Talmadge (Rhonda) of Clay, AL, Monica Morton (Allan) of Springville, AL and Shawn Talmadge (Geneva) of Chelsea, AL. He had nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother Thomas Talmadge of Conyers, GA.
He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley in 2015, his sisters Lorraine Landes, Rosa Jean Blackerby, Doris Quarles, his brother John Talmadge and his granddaughter Genea Talmadge.
The family will have a private graveside service, led by his grandson, Rev. Ben Talmadge.
