TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Police Department identified a suspect in the Feb. 2 shooting at Walmart off Chalkville Mountain Road.
Jordan Christopher Harris, 20, of Pinson, is charged with attempted murder, criminal mischief second-degree and reckless endangerment. Harris was booked into the Trussville City Jail and will be transferred to the Jefferson County Jail on bonds totaling $62,000.
Investigators said an altercation began after an argument between two employees. One of the employees called her brother and he came to the store with two others, police said. After a fistfight, the other employee, who has now been identified as Harris, went to his vehicle and returned with a gun, firing two shots. Four people were initially detained and Harris was the only one arrested.
No one was hurt in the shooting. Trussville Police Chief Eric Rush has mobilized a specialized unit to fight crime around Walmart.
