BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a man found in an apartment complex on the east side of the city.
The victim was found in a grassy area in the 2900 block of Gallant Drive, on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021. Investigators believe the shooting happened just after 1:15 p.m. at Valley Brook Apartments.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead.
Police said the exact motive has not been determined but they do believe the victim was involved in a verbal argument prior to the shooting.
No one is in custody.
