BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a Pinson-area man at a motel on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021.
Officers were called to the Anchor Motel at 8420 1st Avenue North at 6:05 p.m. Upon arrival, they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was pronounced dead on the scene. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 33-year-old Edward Dee Stewart, III.
No motive has been established and no arrests have been made.
