Bernice W. Powell, age 86 of Powder Springs, Georgia, died peacefully at home on Feb. 2, 2021, surrounded by her precious family.
Bernice enjoyed the beach life and loved RV traveling with the love of her life, Jack. Together they traveled all over the USA and cruised to many adventurous destinations. When not on the road or sea, Bernice loved bowling and cooking. Most of all, she loved spending time at home or on vacations with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were her pride and joy!
Bernice is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, George (Jack) M. Powell and her daughters, Vicki P. Hall and Karen P. Smith. She is also survived by grandchildren Barry James Hall, Jr., Andrew R. Law and Kimberly L. Mikowski (Roger); great grandchildren Christina C. Standridge (Jared), McKenzie Law, Tanner Hall, Tyler Hall, Landon Clark, Dylan Clark, Avery Law, Gunner Law, Hollis Mikowski and Isla Mikowski; sister Eva Smith; brothers Howard White and Roy White; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Jaime Hall; son-in-law, Billy E. Smith, Sr.; parents, John Louis and Ada Belle White; brothers Clarence White, Eddie White, Curtis White; and sister Mary Sue Stoddard.
Funeral Services are being arranged by Jefferson Memorial Cemetery and Gardens, 1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, Alabama 35235.
