BIRMINGHAM — An apartment fire left one person dead on Saturday night in Birmingham.
The Birmingham Fire Department responded to the decedent’s apartment — located at 1208 33rd Street South in Birmingham — on a report of a fire around 10:45 p.m. Saturday.
According to authorities, fire personnel discovered the decedent inside the apartment where death was pronounced. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has not identified the victim, but lists her as an adult female.
The Birmingham Fire Department and the Birmingham Police Department are investigating the cause and circumstances surrounding the origin of the fire.
