From The Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE — Several local Shell gas stations are running low or are completely out of gas. This includes stations in Trussville and surrounding areas.
As of Monday, March 15, 2021, two Trussville Shell stations were out of gas. Those were the stations on Deerfoot Parkway and Hwy 11 and on Edwards Lake Road and Edwards Lake Parkway.
The Shell on Chalkville Mountain Road and Frank Johnston Drive ran out of gas Saturday, but got a shipment on Monday morning. However, they said they aren’t sure when they will see their next shipment.
The issue could be ongoing throughout the week, as some stations said they got emails from Shell saying there was an issue with a pipeline. A Shell station in Springville said they were notified they could see a shortage later on in the week.
Other area gas stations such as Chevron, Texaco, Marathon and Raceway, are not experiencing shortages at this time.
