BIRMINGHAM — Birmingham police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a person of interest in the robbery of a Texaco service station on Sunday night.
The robbery took place on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at approximately 9:40 p.m. at the Texaco station located at 5901 1st Avenue North in Birmingham.
Police say the investigation indicates that an unknown black male entered the business demanding money and made threats to harm the clerk. The suspect stole merchandise belonging to the business before exiting the location and fleeing in a silver SUV.
The suspect was described as a black male, bald, wearing tan cargo shorts, a
black and red jacket, and slide-type sandals.
Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is asked to contact BPD at 205-254-1753 or remain anonymous by contacting Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777. If the tip to Crime Stoppers leads to an arrest, Crime Stoppers will provide a cash reward.
