The updated high school baseball poll has been revealed and both Hewitt-Trussville and Leeds continue to impress Alabama Sports Writers Association voters.
The Huskies (18-2), led by head coach Jeff Mauldin, remain solid at No. 2 in Class 7A behind top-ranked Auburn. Big offense and steady pitching guided Hewitt to a 3-0 outing this week in the Gulf Coast Classic.
In Class 5A, Leeds is up two spots to No. 4 this week, trailing No. 1 Russellville, No. 2 Andalusia and No. 3 Holtville. The Green Wave claimed their 17th win on Tuesday with come-from-behind effort over Montevallo.
