TRUSSVILLE – The Hewitt-Trussville mountain bike team is off to a strong start this spring.
Through two races, the Huskies have two first-place results. Behind six top five finishers in the high school divisions, Hewitt took the top spot in the Battle at Black Creek on march 7.
Jacob Roper (fourth), Sam Lovin (fifth), Jase Leamon (third), Luke Armstrong (fifth), Alex Davis (fourth) and Zeke Lockett (fifth) each placed in their respective divisions.

The team followed up with another No. 1 showing at the Melee at McClellan in Anniston on March 21. Lovin (third), Leamon (fourth), Armstrong (fifth), Lockett (fourth) and Davis (fifth) would pace the Huskies again.

Hewitt-Trussville was suppose to be back on the trail this Saturday for Rumble on the Ridge at Oak Mountain State Park, but weather has postponed the race.
