LEEDS — The Leeds Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that happened on Tuesday, March 30, 2021.
Melvin Jamyl Williams, 44, of Leeds, was shot in the 8400 block of Ciscero Davis Avenue, around 1:30 p.m. According to the Jefferson County Coroner/Medical Examiner’s Office, Williams was pronounced dead on the scene at 1:49 p.m.
Although investigators said no one is in custody at this time, they do not believe the public is in danger.
