BIRMINGHAM — A Tuesday, March 30, 2021 shooting that left one man dead in Birmingham has been ruled justifiable.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as 27-year-old Jubraun Leonard Wright, of Birmingham. According to the coroner’s report, Wright sustained gunshot wound injuries during a reported assault in the 1600 block of 13th Avenue North in Birmingham.
The shooting occurred shortly after 9 a.m. Tuesday, and Wright was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:23 a.m.
The Birmingham Police Department presented evidence to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office and the DA ruled the actions of the shooter as justified.
