BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation following an incident that occurred on Tuesday, April 6, 2021.
According to the Birmingham Police Department, North Precinct officers heard multiple gunshots fired in the 2500 block of 13th Avenue North during a routine patrol. Those shots were fired at approximately 2 a.m. Tuesday. Officers responded and observed a male victim lying unresponsive on the side of the roadway suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
BPD says the victim, Fernando Armondo Moore, 36, of Hoover, was pronounced dead at the scene.
