MIDFIELD — Authorities have released the name of a man who was fatally shot in west Jefferson County last Thursday.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, 49-year-old Kenneth Glavin Adams, Jr. died at UAB Hospital two days after the shooting took place. He was pronounced dead shortly before 2 a.m. on April 10, 2021.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the shooting, which took place on Rutledge Drive in Midfield, at 10:30 p.m. Thursday. Authorities believe Adams was shot while he was in his car.
Upon arrival, officers discovered him still inside his 2015 Honda Accord, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
