LEEDS — Beginning at 7 p.m., Sunday, April 18, weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will close the right or left lanes of Interstate 20 westbound for milling and paving work between just east of the Brompton exit (Milepost 148) and the Leeds exit (Milepost 140).
Travel lanes are expected to re-open at approximately 5 a.m. (middle lane) and 6 a.m. (outside or inside lane) on Monday, April 19.
These same lane closures will be in place from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. (middle lane) and 6 a.m. (outside or inside lane) from Monday, April 19 through Saturday, April 24.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area.
