BESSEMER — A homicide investigation has begun after a 21-year-old man was killed at a convenience store in Bessemer on Sunday night.
Authorities say Ehristopher Kasean Jackson sustained fatal gunshot wound injuries during a reported assault at the Stop and Go convenience store located on Dartmouth Avenue in Bessemer. The shooting occurred at around 9:55 p.m. Sunday.
Another male attempted to transport Jackson to the hospital, but was pulled over by Bessemer police. Paramedics were then called to the location and pronounced Jackson dead at the scene at 10:14 p.m.
