BESSEMER — The Bessemer Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a woman on Monday, April 26, 2021.
Shunquesha Dale Patton, 24, was shot and killed during a reported domestic argument, according to the Jefferson County Coroner/Medical Examiner’s Office.
The shooting happened around 10:36 p.m. on 7th Street South, between Hall Avenue and McAdory Avenue, in Bessemer. Patton was pronounced dead on the scene at 11:02 p.m.
The death is being investigated as a homicide. It is unclear if a suspect is in custody.
