BIRMINGHAM — A Warrior man was indicted on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, after prosecutors said he reported he placed a bomb in Birmingham’s Linn Park.
The incident happened on June 1, 2020. No bomb was ever found.
Brian Steven Vest, 50, of Warrior, is now charged with engaging in conduct with the intent to convey false and misleading information regarding the use of a weapon of mass destruction.
If convicted, Vest faces a maximum of five years in prison, and a $250,000 fine.
An indictment contains only charges. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
