Eileen Helen Henderson age 76 of Tarrant, passed away peacefully at her home on April 27, 2021.
She was the wife of Jerry E. Henderson. They shared 57 years of marriage together. Eileen was born on the island of Kauai on September 25, 1944 and was the daughter of Charles and Helen Martin. Eileen had 3 brothers and 2 sisters: Chuck (Sue), Donald, Mark (Joannie) Linda, and Debbie.
She was a graduate of Theodore High School in Mobile, Alabama. Eileen is survived by her husband Jerry. She married Jerry Henderson on April 25th 1964 and had 3 loving children: Dana (Michael) Allen (Kristie) Scott (Stephanie) She was employed at Simon Williamson Clinic for over 20 years, where she worked until her retirement.
She was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Inglenook and then became a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Huffman. She was an avid member of Tarrant Quarterback Club and The Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 113.
She will be remembered by many of the friends she made while being apart of those communities. Her hobbies were sewing and knitting and spending time with her family. She loved watching black and white movies and could watch the Hallmark Channel 24 hours a day.
Her most favorite thing to do was to teach her grandchildren how to pray in Portuguese and how to pray the Rosary. Her love for Jesus Christ was shown everyday by the way she showed loved to her family and friends. She was a loving Nana to her Grandchildren: Patrick (Heather), Micheal (Deanna), Brody, Blake, Zac, and Lauren (Jonathon). She also was a loving Mimi to her Great Grandchildren: Jensen, Ayden, and Hayleigh.
She leaves behind a host of brother in laws and sister in laws and nieces and nephews. Eileen Henderson will be truly be missed. Our loss is Heaven’s gain. Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
The memorial service will be held on Friday April 30th at 12 noon. The family will receive visitors at starting at 11am.
