TRUSSVILLE — Crews on Monday, April 26, 2021, poured the slab for the new Trussville City Schools Central Office.
The two-story building will provide a centralized space for Trussville City Schools’ (TCS) Central Office team, which currently works in three separate buildings throughout the city. The new building will be located on Highway 11, across from Winn Dixie.
Superintendent Dr. Pattie Neill said she is looking forward to having all central services under one roof. She said the design of the building will reflect the system’s excellence.
“This building marks an historic moment in the success of Trussville City Schools,” Neill said. “Our school system was established in 2005 and we will soon have our first-ever central office building. We have functioned with departments all over the city, and now we will have central leadership, food service and technology under one roof.”
TCS celebrated the groundbreaking of the central office in January of 2021.
In November, Blalock Building Company was awarded the bid to construct the new building. Construction will take approximately one year to complete.
