BERRY, Ala. — A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6:43 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, claimed the life of a Bankston man.
Miles David Whitson, 70, was killed when the 2004 Toyota Tacoma he was driving attempted to pass two vehicles and collided head-on with a 2006 Dodge Ram. Whitson was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Alabama 18 at the 43-mile marker, approximately two miles west of Berry.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
