From The Tribune staff reports
While Moe’s Original BBQ has been participating in Hogs for the Cause’s BBQ competition for five years, the company plans to further assist the families of children with pediatric cancer more this year.
According to a press release, the BBQ corporation has committed to donating a percentage of its June 1 sales from all of its 52 locations across the country.
“Moe’s Original BBQ looks forward to participating in Hogs For The Cause every year. We continue to be amazed by the growth and success of this awesome event,” said Franchise Operations Manager Hunter Whitfield. “I understand the importance of corporate fundraising for the event to be a success and knew our Moe’s family could make a greater impact.”
Hogs for the Cause unites barbecue culture nationwide to provide assistance to families with children battling brain cancer. Year-round efforts culminate in an annual two-day music festival and barbecue competition. The non-profit organization works with hospitals to create partnerships, funds and housing to mitigate financial burdens for pediatric cancer diagnoses.
