TRUSSVILLE — Trussville Fire Chief Tim Shotts said that small fires were reported along the railroad tracks in Trussville after railroad maintenance work, on Wednesday, May 26, 2021.

According to Shotts, Norfolk Southern was working on the tracks, resulting in several spot fires along the way.
The fire department was notified and the railroad company brought along maintenance units to extinguish the fires.
