TRUSSVILLE — The owner of a longtime local eatery has passed away. Paul’s Hotdogs owner, Martin Paul LaRussa, died after being hospitalized with pneumonia.
“It is with a very heavy heart to announce that owner Martin Paul LaRussa has passed and is now resting in the arms of Jesus,” stated a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page. “Thank you all for the outpouring love and prayers, please continue to keep our family in your prayers as we navigate through this very difficult time. Thank you and God bless.”
LaRussa and his wife, Sandra, operated Paul’s Hotdogs in Trussville for nearly 28 years before moving to Clay late last year. Sandra LaRussa passed away in January. The two were married for 55 years.
Funeral arrangements for Martin Paul LaRussa have not been announced.
