Both Hewitt-Trussville and Center Point are listed among the 131 Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) member schools to earn the distinction of 2020-21 sportsmanship schools.
The 131 recipient schools will be recognized at the 2021 AHSAA Sportsmanship Luncheon on July 23 at the Renaissance Hotel and Montgomery Convention Center for having no ejections and no fines for the 2020-21 school year. This is the 14th year for the AHSAA School Sportsmanship Program.
Hewitt-Trussville is one of only six Class 7A sportsmanship recipients this year. Center Point is among the 18 Class 5A sportsmanship recipients. The local pair represent two of the five spots held by 5A-7A schools located in Jefferson County.
