BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a woman at a nightclub.
Lykeria Briana Taylor, 21, of Birmingham, was shot around 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, June 13, 2021. She was taken to UAB Hospital where she died early Monday.
According to a release from the Birmingham Police Department, officers responded to the intersection of Avenue V and Warrior Road in Birmingham at around 2:20 a.m. on a Shot Spotter call.
Upon arrival, officers discovered two adults suffering from apparent gunshot wound injuries. Taylor was transported to UAB Hospital while a male victim sustained a non-life-threatening injury, according to police.
According to the department’s release, the preliminary investigation suggests the victims had just left Club Euphoria when an vehicle pulled up alongside them and fired shots into their vehicle.
