BIRMINGHAM — A Birmingham woman has died five days after sustaining injuries in a car accident.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, 36-year-old Annie Lori Stewart was traveling in a vehicle that collided with a utility pole on June 8, 2021. The accident took place at the intersection of 47th Street and 5th Avenue South in Birmingham.
Stewart was transported to UAB Hospital where she was pronounced dead five days later on Sunday, June 13, 2021.
The Birmingham Police Department is investigating the cause and circumstances surrounding the crash.
