BIRMINGHAM — A two-vehicle accident on Saturday has claimed the life of a woman in Birmingham.
The collision, according to authorities, took place when a GMC Yukon attempted to exit Interstate 59 North onto 4th Avenue South and struck a Chrysler 300 early Saturday morning.
Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates says the impact caused the GMC to rollover multiple times, ejecting the victim who was later pronounced dead at the scene at 1:49 a.m. that morning.
The decedent has not been identified, as the Birmingham Police Department continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
