MONTGOMERY — Attorney General Steve Marshall announced the arrest Tuesday of a former coach and teacher at Brewbaker Technology Magnet High School for a felony ethics charge.
Shines has been indicted for violating the Alabama Ethics Act by intentionally using his official position to obtain personal gain for himself or a family member by spending currency belonging to the Montgomery Public Schools.
Information surrounding the investigation is limited at this time.
If convicted, Shines faces a maximum penalty of two to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $30,000.
