FAIRFIELD — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in finding the suspects in a deadly overnight carjacking in Fairfield.
Deputies were first called to Gary Avenue and 49th Avenue, at around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16. They found a 27-year-old man had been shot and killed. The man was pronounced dead on the scene.
Investigators believe the man was killed during a robbery and carjacking. Detectives are looking for a 2017 Gray Nissan Sentra, with tag number 1FB7482. They said two suspects were inside that vehicle during the carjacking.
