BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Former Clay-Chalkville quarterback Tyrrell Pigrome is on the move again.
The 2015 Alabama Gatorade Player of the Year took to social media on Wednesday to announce his entry into the transfer portal. He threw for 1,603 yards and nine scores in his one season at Western Kentucky last year. He played his first four collegiate seasons at Maryland before transferring to WKU in time for 2020.
“Due to the NCAA granting me an extra year of eligibility to finish out my graduate year, I am officially in the transfer portal,” announced Pigrome on Thursday. “I would like to thank the two previous schools that I attended, the community, my teammates and both coaching staffs in my years in college for the opportunity and I am excited for my next chapter!”
The 5’10” righty quarterbacked Clay-Chalkville to a 29-1 record and two Class 6A state championship game appearances in his two years as a starter. He helped capture the blue map as a junior in 2014 and graduated with a pair of Mr. Football runner-up finishes on his resume.
In his five years on the college scene, Pigrome has tossed for 3,380 yards and 18 touchdowns to go with another 967 yards rushing and 12 scores.
Time will tell where the dual-threat QB lands in 2021.
