WALNUT GROVE, Ala. — An Attalla teen was killed on Wednesday, June 30, in a two-vehicle crash.
Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey said the crash happened on U.S. 278, near McCourt Road, in the Walnut Grove community.
“The 19- year-old was fatally injured when the 2002 Jeep Liberty the teen was driving crossed the centerline and collided with a 2019 Freightliner tractor-trailer,” said Bailey. “The teen, who was not using a seat belt, was partially ejected, and was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
The crash happened around 9:02 p.m.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are investigating.
