TRUSSVILLE — Hewitt-Trussville pitcher Riley Quick has announced his college commitment.
The 6-foot-5 all-state selection made his decision known on Monday afternoon, pulling the trigger to Alabama head coach Brad Bohannon.
I am honored to say that I have committed to The University of Alabama to further my academic and baseball career. Thank you to everyone who has helped me get to this day!#RollTide @CoachBo_Bama @hewitt_baseball @rledits24 pic.twitter.com/6eoT9e4jkf

Quick, a junior for the Huskies last season, recently earned the distinction of Class 7A Pitcher of the Year honors. He struck out 116 batters on his way to a 9-2 record for top-ranked Hewitt-Trussville. He tossed 70.2 innings with a 0.99 ERA.
Quick is the younger brother of Crimson Tide offensive lineman Pierce Quick. Riley, a 4-star offensive line prospect, plans to focus on baseball only at Alabama.
