LIMESTONE COUNTY — A two-vehicle crash in Limestone County has claimed the life of a Rogersville man.
A release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says Charles Edward Craig, 86, was fatally injured when the 2016 Nissan Versa he was driving failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a 2016 Ford F-350 at approximately 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 13. Craig was transported for treatment to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Police say the crash occurred on Alabama 99 near Salem Minor Hill Road, approximately 12 miles northwest of Athens. Nothing further is available as Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
