ATHENS, Ala. — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division is investigating a deadly crash that happened in north Alabama.
The crash happened around 2:27 p.m. on Friday, July 16, 2021.
Mark Douglas Adams, 66, of Athens, was fatally injured when the 1996 Yamaha motorcycle he was operating struck a 2013 Honda Accord. The driver of the Honda failed to yield the right-of-way to the Yamaha, Troopers said.
Adams was pronounced dead on the scene.
The crash occurred on Menefee Road near Keeton Road, approximately 10 miles east of Athens.
