HOOVER — A person was arrested on Saturday, July 17, 2021, after Hoover police discovered a possible homemade hand grenade.
Carol Robinson with al.com reported that a police officer made a traffic stop on Highway 31, around 3:30 p.m. The possible explosive device was discovered inside the truck that the officer pulled over.
The police department’s Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team responded and recovered the device.
The identity of the driver has not been released, pending charges.
