TRUSSVILLE — The BBVA USA branch in Trussville is closing after PNC acquired BBVA USA.
The Birmingham Business Journal reported the closing of the location at 5990 Chalkville Mountain Road in the Trussville Shopping Center.
The branch will be consolidated into the PNC branch at Tutwiler Farm.
PNC is now the fifth-largest U.S. bank.
“Already, one of the nation’s top financial services providers, our acquisition of BBVA USA makes us a coast-to-coast franchise with a presence in 29 of the 30 largest markets in the U.S.,” PNC said in a statement. “More than just enhancing our business strength and resources, this new relationship unites two organizations with many shared values and a passion for providing the highest-quality customer service. Together, we’re poised to deliver positive results and make a difference for our customers and our employees.”
The Trussville Shopping Center is currently undergoing many changes. There will soon be three new stores in the former Kmart Space, Tractor Supply, Ollies and Crunch Fitness. A new furniture store is going into the former Office Depot space. Ashley Homestore Outlet offers room-to-room furnishings including furniture and decor for living spaces, bedrooms, kitchens and more.
