ETOWAH COUNTY — Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Marine Patrol Division are investigating a fatal boating on Neely Henry Lake, in Etowah County.
The body of Kha Thanh Tran, 44, of Hokes Bluff, was recovered from the lake on Thursday, July 29. He was found in the Coosa River near the Appalachian Bridge, according to authorities.
ALEA said the family of Tran notified officials after he didn’t return home Wednesday night after going fishing.
