FAIRFIELD — Jefferson County Coroner William Yates reported that one of the victims of a shooting here on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2021, died as a result of his wounds later that evening.
Yates identified 31-year-old Jastin Juwunn King or Fairfield as the victim. He was shot, along with another victim, on the 400 block of 57th Street in Fairfield. around 12:50 p.m. King was pronounced dead at 8:21 p.m. at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham.
Deputies were dispatched to the scene of the crime after multiple people called 911.
Two male victims were taken to Princeton Hospital by private vehicle. There is no update on the second victim.
No suspects are in custody.
