TRUSSVILLE — It’s been a rough start to the season for Hewitt-Trussville’s volleyball team. The Huskies dropped their opener to Helena in three straight sets, and then went 0-4 and never made it out of pool play at the Juanita Boddie Tournament in Hoover.
In their own house, though, the Huskies made a stand. After dropping the first set to Pinson Valley 22-25, Hewitt-Trussville stormed back to take the next two sets, 25-10 and 15-0 to win the match.
Wenonah, which was delayed because of transportation issues, may wish they hadn’t made the trip over, as Hewitt handled them in straight sets, winning 25-11 and 25-13.
