LEEDS — The Green Wave rolled to start its volleyball season, even though the team had to work out some kinks to come from behind.

Leeds beat Shades Valley in front of a packed (and mostly masked) crowd, three games to nil in the varsity match, coming from behind to tie the first match at 25 to force a “win by 2” situation. The final scores: Set 1: 28-26 LHS; Set 2: 25-19 LHS, Set 3: 25-14 LHS. The JV squad won the first set in their match against Shades Valley JV, but lost the overall match two sets to one. The JV scores: Set 1: 25-18 LHS; Set 2: 25-18 SVHS; Set 3: 15-8 SVHS.
