HOOVER —A Pinson woman is the 42-year-old grandmother charged with leaving her infant grandchild in a vehicle outside Riverchase Galleria.
Jocelyn Sharmeen Parrish has been charged with four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, illegal possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, drug trafficking of opioids and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Parrish reportedly had the gun and narcotics in the floorboard of her car. Her bond is $210,000.
Hoover police responded to a 911 call around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday after a witness saw an 8-month-old boy inside a car.
Authorities found Parrish inside the Galleria with three other children, ranging in age from 3-6. The children are now in the custody of Jefferson County DHR.
