CALHOUN COUNTY — A Jacksonville woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Friday, September 17, at 9:30 a.m.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Maggie Beard, 73, was the passenger of a 2000 Ford F-150 driven by Albert Bowens Jr., 54, when it struck a 2015 GMC Sierra driven by Charles Boone, 84, of Anniston. The accident occurred five miles north of Anniston on U.S. 431 near the 238-mile marker.
Beard was transported to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries on Sunday, September 19.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
