TRUSSVILLE — Trussville Police Department responded to a four-vehicle accident on I-59 that shut down both north and southbound lanes on Thursday, September 30.
According to Trussville Police Chief Eric Rush, the interstate was closed for about 45 minutes after a Penske box truck heading south crossed the median and side-swiped an 18-wheeler heading north. Two other vehicles were reported to be involved in the accident.
Chief Rush stated that two people were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. I-59 is now clear and operating smoothly.
